2. Project Background and Challenges

Ansteel Group, as the cradle of the steel industry in New China, has a large production scale and a long history. As production continues, the accumulation of iron shavings generated by multiple machine tools in the workshop has increasingly become a prominent issue. This occupies a significant amount of space and involves challenges related to the separation of cutting oil and environmental treatment. Ansteel Group introduced an advanced iron shavings processing solution—the ENERPAT® Iron Briquetting Machine Line to optimize the production environment and improve resource recovery efficiency.


3. Accurate Identification of Customer Needs

l Efficient Processing Capacity: Meet the daily iron shavings processing requirements generated by multiple machine tools.

l Space Optimization: Significantly reduce the area occupied by iron shavings, making storage and transportation easier.

l Environmental Compliance: Ensure that compressed iron briquettes are stable and free from oil leakage, in accordance with environmental standards.

l Cutting Oil Recovery: Effectively separate and collect cutting lubricating oil to achieve resource reuse.

l Rational Layout: Design a scientifically reasonable equipment layout based on the actual situation of the workshop.


4. ENERPAT® Customized Solution

In response to the specific needs of Ansteel Group, ENERPAT has meticulously designed a comprehensive solution that includes an AGV cart, a feeding hoist, a BM-1090 iron powder briquetting machine, a centralized feed bin, a discharge conveyor, and a cutting fluid purification and collection tank. Through measures such as sample testing, automation process design, and sealing treatment, a fully automated, leak-free production process from iron shavings collection to briquette formation has been achieved.


Note: The core equipment, the iron briquetting machine, is also commonly referred to as metal chip briquetter, metal briquetting press, metal briquetting machine, metal briquetter, etc.


5. Project Achievements and Highlights

l Space Savings: The iron shavings compression ratio reaches up to 10:1, saving 90% of the workshop's floor space.

l Environmental Benefits: The oil content of the briquettes after pressing is low, with no leakage during storage. The cutting oil is collected centrally for reuse, contributing to green production.

l Economic Benefits: The value of recycled iron shavings is enhanced, with the recovery price increasing by approximately $115 per ton, thus boosting the company's profitability.
